Umax bills through Apple or Google, so you cancel it in your phone's subscription settings — not inside the Umax app, and not on a website.
On an iPhone: open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, tap Umax, then Cancel Subscription. On Android: open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Umax → Cancel subscription.
One thing worth knowing before you do anything else: deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. It keeps billing after the icon is gone.
Part of the SoftMaxx facial anatomy glossary — every term, one definition each.
1. On iPhone or iPad
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the very top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Umax in the list of active subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If Umax is not in that list, the subscription is either already cancelled, or it was bought under a different Apple Account — check the other account you use on that device. Apple's own instructions are at support.apple.com.
You can also reach the same screen through the App Store: tap your profile picture in the top-right, then Subscriptions.
2. On Android
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon, top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Umax, then Cancel subscription.
Google's own instructions are at support.google.com. As on iOS, the subscription is tied to the account that bought it — if you cannot see it, check which Google account is signed in.
3. Why you cannot cancel on Umax's website
Because there is no website to cancel on. As of 19 September 2026, umaxapp.com redirects to a WordPress blog and umax.app is a parked domain listed for sale. The app is published by Improvement Tech LLC and takes payment only through Apple's and Google's billing systems.
That is normal for a store-billed app, and it is genuinely good news for you: the developer cannot make cancelling difficult, because the cancel button belongs to Apple and Google. Emailing the developer is not necessary and will not be faster.
4. Refunds: who actually decides
Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not refund the charge you have already had — that is a separate request, and it goes to the store, not to Umax.
- Apple: request at reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the charge and choose the refund option.
- Google: start from your Play order history; recent purchases may offer a self-serve refund, and older ones become a request.
Be clear-eyed about the outcome: these refunds are granted at Apple's or Google's discretion. There is no entitlement, no guaranteed window we can promise you, and the developer cannot override the store's decision. Asking costs nothing and is often granted for an accidental or immediately-regretted purchase; it is much less likely months later.
5. What happens after you cancel
You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for — cancelling on day two of a week does not end it on day two. The subscription then lapses rather than vanishing, and the entry stays visible in your store subscriptions list as expired.
Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting your data. If you want the account and its photos removed, that is a separate request to the developer under its privacy policy, and it is worth making explicitly rather than assuming that cancelling did it.
6. What this page does not cover
These steps are the current Apple and Google flows, described from their own published instructions on 19 September 2026. Both companies redesign these screens periodically — if a menu name has changed, the store's own linked help page above is the authority, not this page.
We have no relationship with Umax or Improvement Tech LLC, no access to your account, and no ability to cancel or refund anything on your behalf. We wrote this because the question comes up and the answer is genuinely hard to find.
7. Common questions
How do I cancel Umax?
On iPhone: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, Umax, Cancel Subscription. On Android: Play Store, profile icon, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Umax, Cancel subscription. Umax bills through the app stores, so there is nowhere else to do it.
Does deleting the Umax app cancel my subscription?
No. Deleting the app removes the icon and keeps the billing. You have to cancel in your phone's subscription settings, which you can do whether or not the app is still installed.
Can I cancel Umax on their website?
There is no website to cancel on. umaxapp.com redirects to a blog and umax.app is a parked domain for sale, read 19 September 2026. All billing runs through Apple or Google.
Can I get a refund from Umax?
Refunds are requested from the store, not the developer: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, or your Play order history for Google. They are granted at the store's discretion — there is no guaranteed refund window, and the developer cannot overrule the decision.
Will I lose access as soon as I cancel?
No. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, then the subscription lapses and stops renewing.
I cancelled but I am still being charged. What now?
The most common cause is a second subscription under a different Apple or Google account on the same device — check each account's Subscriptions list. If the charge is genuinely from a cancelled subscription, raise it with the store that billed you, since the payment is theirs to reverse.
