Umax pricing: every tier Apple lists, what each costs per year, and why Android is cheaper

Four different weekly prices are live at once, which is why no two reviews quote the same figure. Here is the whole list with the annual arithmetic done.

Published 2026-09-19 · ~6 minute read · Editorial standards

On the US App Store, Umax lists four Weekly Premium tiers at the same time — $3.99, $4.99, $6.99 and $9.99 — plus three Monthly Premium tiers at $9.99, $12.99 and $24.99 (read 19 September 2026). Annualised, the weekly tiers run from $207.48 to $519.48 a year. Google Play lists a different range again: $2.69 to $16.99 per item.

The app is published by Improvement Tech LLC. There is no single "Umax price", which is why no two reviews quote the same number — and why the figure you are shown may not be the figure your friend was shown.

1. What the App Store lists today

Apple publishes an app's in-app purchases on the listing itself. For Umax — Become Hot (id6471026798), read on 19 September 2026, the list is:

ProductPriceAnnualised
Weekly Premium$3.99$207.48
Weekly Premium$4.99$259.48
Weekly Premium$6.99$363.48
Weekly Premium$9.99$519.48
Monthly Premium$9.99$119.88
Monthly Premium$12.99$155.88
Monthly Premium$24.99$299.88
Supercharge (one-off)$3.99
"You as a 10/10" (one-off)$6.99

Annualised figures are our arithmetic: weekly price × 52, monthly price × 12.

2. Why there are four weekly prices at once

Four concurrent Weekly Premium tiers is not a mistake and not a set of different products — it is price testing. Apps in this category routinely show different prices to different cohorts and keep every active price point registered on the listing.

The practical consequence for you: the price you are quoted inside the app is the only one that binds, and a review quoting "$5.99 a week" may be describing a tier that was never on the public list. Check the figure on the purchase sheet before you confirm, not the figure in an article.

3. The weekly framing is the expensive one

A weekly subscription reads as small and annualises brutally. The cheapest listed weekly tier, $3.99, is $207.48 a year. The most expensive, $9.99, is $519.48 a year — more than three times the $150/year QOVES charges for a human-reviewed report.

The monthly tiers are the cheaper way to buy the same thing: $9.99 a month is $119.88 a year, against $207.48 for the cheapest weekly. If you are going to subscribe at all, the weekly option is the worst-value door in the list unless you genuinely intend to cancel within a few weeks.

4. Android is a different price list

The Google Play listing (com.umax.tech, same developer) shows in-app purchases spanning $2.69 to $16.99 per item — a different floor and a different ceiling from the App Store's $3.99–$24.99.

Play does not itemise each product publicly the way Apple does, so the range is all that can be verified from outside. The takeaway is simply that iOS and Android buyers are not offered the same prices, and a quote from one platform should not be used to describe the other.

5. What this page does not tell you

These are US store prices read on one day. Store listings are localised and change without notice, so a reader in another country, or reading this months later, may see different figures — check the listing itself before you buy.

Apple shows a limited set of in-app purchases, so this list is what is published, not provably everything that exists. Tiers can be added, retired or hidden without the listing changing visibly, and nothing here should be read as a complete inventory of what Umax has ever sold.

Nothing here is a judgement of whether the app is any good — only of what it costs. For what the scores actually mean and how they are produced, see our methodology.

6. Common questions

How much does Umax cost?

On the US App Store, read 19 September 2026, Umax lists Weekly Premium at $3.99, $4.99, $6.99 and $9.99, and Monthly Premium at $9.99, $12.99 and $24.99. Several weekly prices are live at once, so the amount you are shown depends on which tier you are offered.

Is Umax free?

The app installs free. The rating and analysis sit behind a subscription, and the listing carries only paid in-app purchases — there is no free scoring tier published on the store listing.

How much is Umax per year?

Annualised from the listed prices: $3.99/week is $207.48, $4.99/week is $259.48, $6.99/week is $363.48 and $9.99/week is $519.48. The monthly tiers come to $119.88, $155.88 and $299.88.

Why do reviews quote different Umax prices?

Because four Weekly Premium tiers are registered at the same time. Different users are offered different prices, and reviewers quote whatever they were shown. A widely repeated "$5.99 a week" figure does not appear on the public listing at all.

Does Umax cost the same on Android?

No. Google Play shows in-app purchases from $2.69 to $16.99 per item, a different range from the App Store's. Play does not itemise each product publicly, so only the range can be verified.

Who makes Umax?
